This trip is available as a customizable individual family adventure on the dates of your choosing!
Day 1: Arrive San Juan and board private transfer to rainforest area near Arenal Volcano.

Day 2:

ay, we explore the jungles around Arenal Volcano on a rafting safari hoping to spot sloths, monkeys, bats, basilik lizards and more. These are Class I and II rapids, so perfect mix of excitement and relaxation for families. We will have lunch on the river banks and take time to cool off in the river before continuing down the river.
In the evening, we visit a local home where we learn to cook Costa Rican style!

Day 3:
Hike through verdant jungle listening to birds and monkeys chatter away in the treetops. Then, join them in the treetops as we fly through the trees on a series of zip lines and hanging bridges.

After lunch at your leisure, enjoy some free time…wander around town visiting the bat, snake or butterfly museums and end the day with a dip in the hot springs.

Day 4:
Hop a jeep-boat-van transfer to Costa Rica’s Pacific coast where we spend some time at Samara Beach, rated one of Costa Rica’s top beach experiences. Arrive in the afternoon in time to enjoy some relaxation time before sunset.

Day 5:
After a leisurely breakfast, learn to Stand Up Paddle Board on an outing to a nearby island where we will snorkel to check out the amazing underwater vistas of Costa Rica.

Day 6:
After a leisurely breakfast, visit a turtle observation center. Many species of turtles nest on the beaches in and around Samara and at the turtle observation center you can see rescued turtles and what they are doing to protect this endangered species. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the beach and enjoying another beautiful sunset!
Day 7:
Day at leisure.
Day 8:
Transfer back to San Jose for flight home.
